She served under Kirks first five year mission. Her career began as head nurse to McCoy and sacrificed a promising career in biology of research medicine. She hoped this post would reunite her and her fiance, Dr. Roger Kirby. She had feelings for Spock. This was an ongoing source of tension. Following the five-year mission, she finished her medical degree. She became Chief M3dical Officer on the Enterprise. Under the command of William Decker, she graciously stepped down to allow McCoy to return to Cheif Medical Officer.

She was an endocrinologist, dealing with the throat and stomach, and also she dealt with cell structure. She was a romantic interest of James T. Kirk. They called it off due to their careers. She was stationed on an out post where she met her future husband, Theodore. After he died she received a StarGram from Kirk.

She got aboard the Enterprise again to work with McCoy to find a cure for a type of radiation sickness. The ship got surrounded by Romulans. A Starfleet Comadore Observer, took command of the ship, but due to his inexperiance was unable to elude the Romulans.

Dramia II

This was the second planet in the Dramia system. Prior to 2251, it was colonized. It was visited by McCoy, who headed a away mission administerating a vacine. However after McCoy left, the planet was hit by an astroid that killed most of the inhabitants.
