Uhura

Born 2239 United States of Africa, Earth

Lieutenet Uhura is the communication officer on the U.S.S. Enterprise. Astute and intelligent, Uhura can interact in multiple languages, and is adept manipulating or repairing computer technologies to boost communication transmission. Kirk considers her a great asset on the bridge, and Uhura is assigned to the helm when necessary. She often entertains the crew with her singing. From Star Trek Calender Saturday December 28, 2013

Kor

This Klingon Kor was the first to appear in the television series of The Original Series.  He was the last son of Rinar, the last san of the House of Kor, and the last of The Imperial Family. The Imperial Family was the most influential and respected warriers in the late 23rd and early 24th century.

Throughout his career he played a key role within the Empire. He confronted James T. Kirk a number of times, attacked Romulus, defended the Karma Pass, and discovered the Sword of Kahlas. was the first to appear in the television series of The Original Series.  He was the last son of Rinar, the last san of the House of Kor, and the last of The Imperial Family. Kirks birthplace

While Kirk's birthplace on Earth was known to be Iowa, the city wasn't specified in ST:TOS.  In 1985 however of Riverside, Iowa, designated itself as the "Future birthplace of James T. Kahn Noonien Singh


Kahn was a genetically modified human. He was the most vicious tyrant in the late 20th century in the Eugenics war on Earth. His reappearance and was met by a confrontation with James T. Kirk. His origins remain a mystery. His creation was in a selective breeding and genetic engineering facility. He improved the capabilities of man and has origins from a variety of ethnic groups.

Pavel Andreievich Chekov


Born 2245, Russia, Earth

Pavel Andreievich Chekov is the navigator of USS Enterprise. He is also trusted at the science officer station, often filling in for Spock at that post, although he is known to be thorough with his reports. Compared to the other crew members, Chekov is young, naive and hotheaded. Particularly proud of his Russian heritage, he sometime makes fanciful claims for his culture's achievements.

The Original series

Created by Gene Roddenberry the science fiction tv series StarTrek debuted on NBC on September 8, 1966 and spawned a multimedia empire. Presenting the journey of the U.S.S. Enterprise under the leadership of Captain James Tiberius Kirk as it explored the galaxy and encountered alien civilizations in the 23rd century, the show was daring, philosophical adventurous and hopeful about the future of humanity. Its characters including Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uhura, Scott, Chekov and Sulu, as well as the Starship Enterprise became cultural icons. During its three season, it won two HUGO awards for best dramatic presentation.

Scotty

Although most of his scene ware filmed to hide the injury, James Doohan (Montgomery "Scotty" Scott) is missing much of his right middle finger from an injury he received during World War Il. Close ups of Scott manipulating controllers or tools were sometimes shot with another actors hands. The injury is apparent in a few places throughout The Original Series, including a scene in "The Troubles with Tribbles." Startrek Calender Sunday February 24, 2013

Sulu

Sulu was the astroscientist and helmsman aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. Assigned as a physicist at first, Sulu was transferred  to duties as a Tactical  officer. He was a renownced expert on various forms of arms, in particular antique projectal weapons, and also skilledat swordplay, fensing and Judo. He was also a experienced and steady pilot. A dedicated botanist, Sulu tended a collection of flora samples from his travels in the Enterprise's garden.

Uhura

Lieutenant Uhuras name means "freedom" in Swahili.
Communication officer Uhura, Nichelle Nichols,was one of the first black women to play a non-menial role in a TV series and has served as an inspiration for trailblazing actresses. According to legend, Nichols was leaning toward leaving the show, when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. convinced her to stay. Although a kiss between Kirk and Uhura in 1968 is sometimes considered the first interracial kiss on television in the United States, the first interracial kiss was on I Spy in 1966. Nichols also became a spokesperson for NASA during their first launch of the space shuttle.

Spock

Born 2230, Shi'Kahr, Vulcan

Spock was the science officer and first officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise. In his long lifetime, he became one of the most respected and decorated scientists and explorers in the United Federation of Planets. Despite his constent struggle between the disaplined logic of his Vulcan side and the emotional human half of his heritage, Spock was an exemplar of duty, intellect and fidelity. Although half human, he had many Vulcan abilities, such as strength, telepathy, and a greater lifespan. After retiring from Starfleet Spock became a distinguished Federation advisor and ambassador, particularly involved in relationships with the Klingon and Romulan empires.

James T. Kirk

James Tiberius Kirk is the captain of the U.S.S.Enterprise. An epic and heroic figure, Kirk is debatably the most celebrated and decorated Starship captain in Starfleet history, renowned as a commander, diplomat, soldier, time traveller, and legendary space explorer, as well as a genius tactician willing to bluff and take daring risks. A good humored, flexible, philosophical, charismatic and gregarious leader Kirk inspirers great loyality from his crew. He has a reputation for attracting and pursuing females but is unsuccessful at maintaining lasting romantic relationship due to his devotion to his career.

Montgomery Scott


Born 2222, Earth

Montgomery "Scotty" Scott is the chief engineer of the U.S.S. Enterprise. He possesses ingenious engineering and technical skills, to the point where he was often considered a miracle worker, and he is a foremost authority on warp engines. Scott was also responsible for maintaining, operating and improving the transporters on the Enterprise. With his genial disposition, earnestly amusing bluster, and thick Scottish brogue, he is often a source of respectful comic relief for Kirk.
