Montgomery "Scotty" Scott

Star Trek Quote of the Day:

StarTrek Birthday:

Montgomery "Scotty" Scott

Born:  February 14, 2222

In the alternate timeline created by the temporal incursion of 2233, engineer Montgomery Scott was punished with a posting at a desolate station on a frozen planet for losing Admiral Archer's beloved pet beagle in a transwarp experiment. Scott was rescued from his stalled career path when Jim Kirk arrived with an out of time ambassador Spock.  Using advanced theory that Scott would not devolop for years, he and Kirk transported back to the Enterprise where he would become a valued member of the crew. Although Scott briefly took an unselfish shore leave during the incident with Kahn in 2259, his return to the Enterprise was integral in resolving the crises caused by the former warlord and Admiral Marcus.
